I love living in Seminary housing because we have so many dear friends near us. We are all in the same situation and we all relate well to each other. Here are a couple of Daniel's favorite friend.

I grew up in Yellow Country.
But my parents are Blue.
I'm Blue.
Or at least, that is what they told me.

But I played with the Yellows.
I went to school with the Yellows.
I spoke the Yellow language.
I even dressed and appeared to be Yellow.

Then I moved to the Blue Land.
Now I go to school with the Blues.
I speak the Blue language.
I even dress and look Blue.
But deep down inside me, something's Yellow.
I love the Blue Country, but my ways are tinted with Yellow.
When I am in Blue Land, I want to be Yellow.
When I'm in Yellow Land, I want to be Blue.
Why can't I find a place, where I can be both?
A place where I can be me

Deacons vs. Elders

Tonight was the big Calvin Seminary Hockey game. The players consist of seminary students, faculty, and pastors. Brandon was on the Deacon's team. Unfortunately the Elders won by one point with a final score of 4 for the Deacons and 5 for the Elders. Even though they lost it as a lot of fun.

Dedication

This morning Daniel and Monica had their dedication service. I wanted to put on here the two verses that Pastor Jeff chose for them:

Daniel- Psalm 33:18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on whose hope is in his unfailing love.

Monica- I Peter 3:12- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

Kids' Dedication

5 Months old and Mobile

Monica turned 5 months old yesterday. One of her favorite things to do is play in her walker. She is all over the place in that thing! I think she likes it because it helps her keep up with big brother.

Big Brother

Daniel is such a good big brother. Here is a picture of him sharing his chair that Soso found for him at a garage sale. They sat like that for a good half hour.

Building a Gingerbread House

Tonight Daniel and I took on the HUGE task of building a gingerbread house, or as Daniel would call it a Gingerbread man's house. It took a couple of hours to finish, but we had a great time doing it. Thank you Nanny for providing the kit so that we could make a memory.

My Winter Boy!

Daniel LOVES the snow. He could play out there for hours. We have some stairs outside our house, and yesterday Daniel was begging daddy if he could sled down them, so that is what they did. Daniel had a blast.

Christmas Eve with the whole Family

Santa Claus

Before Christmas we took Daniel to see Santa Claus. The only thing he asked for was toy food. So of course that is what Santa brought Daniel. Here are some pictures of Christmas morning. Daniel was very excited about seeing that Santa left foot prints of ashes on the floor, and he also ate his cookies and drank his milk. It was a fun morning.
